Some of our best client relationships begin with a recommendation from someone who already knows and trusts Smartmates. Our Referral Program is our way of thanking clients who introduce us to another business that could benefit from our consulting services.

When your referral becomes a Smartmates client and purchases at least 25 consulting hours, we’ll add 5 complimentary consulting hours to your Smartmates balance and 5 complimentary consulting hours to theirs. Each set of 5 hours is valued at $645 + GST, and the business you introduce receives 30 hours in total for the 25 they purchase.

What counts as a valid referral?

1. Introduce us. Email us an introduction to a business you think we could help. A direct email introduction is perfect.
2. We take it from there. Our team will speak with them, understand their requirements and confirm whether Smartmates is the right fit.
3. They get started. If the business becomes a Smartmates client and purchases at least 25 consulting hours, your referral qualifies.
4. We say thank you. We’ll add 5 complimentary consulting hours to your Smartmates balance, and 5 to theirs, within 5 business days of receiving their payment.

Referral eligibility requirements

A valid referral must be introduced to Smartmates by an existing Smartmates client, by email or another written introduction.

It must be a business that is new to Smartmates, meaning it is not a current or past client.

It must not already be in active discussions with Smartmates, such as a quote, planning session or proposal in the previous 90 days.

It must not be related to your own business.

It must become a paying client and purchase at least 25 consulting hours within 12 months of your introduction.
